Caroline Barndt, LCSW, received her Bachelor’s degree at NC State University and her Master’s in Social Work at East Carolina University. She has been practicing for 22 years in both inpatient and outpatient settings. She is originally from Atlanta, Georgia but was raised in Charlotte, NC. She enjoys working with those suffering from depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, OCD, codependency, grief, life transitions and those with family members who have chronic mental illness.
Caroline utilizes a strong cognitive behavioral approach, with techniques drawn from dialectical behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, and family systems theory. She’s a big believer in the power of the client-therapist relationship.
She has two daughters and 2 rescue dogs. In her free time she enjoys working in the yard, hiking and spending time with family and friends. She also loves coffee and listening to 80’s music.
